I haven’t seen SW County’s roundabout but just got back from Ocean Isle Beach that had installed one. What a waste of money! No one knew how to use it and it served absolutely no purpose, yet it did cause a couple of “near-misses.”
I have driven through Ocean Isle Beach’s Rbt. and also numerous others around the state and they seem to work pretty good. Traffic flows smoothly trhough them and also pedistrains are able to cross the intersection with a lot more ease…….I do not see a problem with them. Just learn to yield to the traffic on the RIGHT as you are entering and you are good to go. Look forward to driving Roanoke County’s new Rbt.
