Oak Grove Tigers are helping the cats and dogs of the SPCA

Every year, Oak Grove Elementary is involved in a Spring Service project. This year the school is asking for donated items needed to help the animals of the SPCA.

A Representative from the RVSPCA, Carolyn Swanzhauser, joined Oak Grove in kicking off their project on March 23, 2012. She brought along “Moose,” the loveable 3-year-old dog (who was adopted later that week) to show that there are many animals in Roanoke who are in need of a warm and caring home.

Oak Grove will be accepting donated items until Friday, April 20, 2012. If you are interested in donating, you may bring them by the school. Here is a list of items that they are accepting: cat and dog items, food, toys, small animal items, and cleaning and shelter supplies.
