More than 1,700 without power in Roanoke County
The lights went out for more than 1,700 people in Roanoke County today, spurring Appalachian Power response crews to investigate.
Appalachian spokesman Todd Burns said crews are still working to determine what caused the outages in the Starkey Road area at about 2:03 p.m., when a breaker was triggered.
