An email to parents of Cave Spring Middle School students includes the following information for those rising CSHS 9th graders and current CSHS students interested in joining the CSHS golf or drill teams for next school year:

CSHS Golf Team

Golf Tryouts will be held at Hunting Hills starting at 11 a.m., July 30. You must have a new physical on file to participate. The tryouts will consist of 9 holes on Monday (11 a.m.), 9 holes on Tuesday (11 a.m.), 9 holes on Thursday (11 a.m.), and 18 holes Friday (starting at 9 a.m.).  The best 36 holes will be counted towards a total tryout score.  I am particularly interested in adding rising 9th and 10th graders to the team.

If you have not been on a golf team before, please consider taking part in the Valley Golf Academy’s Varsity Training held at Hunting Hills every Tuesday this summer from 2 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.  More information can be found here by scrolling down to “Varsity Training”, or by calling Hunting Hills at 540-774-4429.

CSHS Drill Team

Come find out what the newest team at Cave Spring is all about and add a fun and exciting activity to your college application!

The Drill Team wants you to join us for football and basketball halftime performances. The coach has 17 years of choreography, dance and fitness instruction experience and the routines are easy and fun to learn. Open Gym practices are every Wednesday from June 20 through August 8 from 9:30 to 11 a.m. in the CSHS auditorium, and are open to all CSHS students.  No dance team experience required.
