Goodwill mobile donation drive will be at Tanglewood Mall on 3 Saturdays in June
In an effort to make donating even more convenient for the public, Goodwill is partnering with Tanglewood Mall in a “Mobile Donation Drive.” On June 9, June 16, and June 23 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Goodwill will place a truck in the parking lot at T.J. Maxx to accept donations. The public is encouraged to bring gently used clothing, accessories, shoes, books, toys, games, household decor, linens, computers and computer accessories, furniture, and small appliances.
The sale of the collected goods will result in critical revenue that helps to fund job training and employment programs for youth, adults, and seniors with disabilities, economic disadvantages, as well as those who have lost their job due to company closing or layoff that Goodwill serves. Goodwill’s retail and salvage operations also help protect the environment. In 2011, more than 14.3 million pounds of materials were kept out of area landfills.
