“Our son, Philip Anderson, took our dog, Sweetie, for a run on one of the Poor Mountain trails yesterday. As he ran, Sweetie left the trail to check something out. When she didn’t reappear Philip turned back to find her whimpering and licking this fawn.

Apparently this very young fawn had entangled itself in some branches and became stuck. Philip freed the fawn, and it just sat there with

Sweetie while Philip ran back to the car and got his phone to snap the picture. Sweetie loves chasing deer, and we always wondered what would happen if she actually caught up with one. Now we know!”
