Froth teams up with Feeding America Southwest Virginia to collect jars of peanut butter this month
Rachel Higginbotham of Froth shares the following information:
Peanut butter is the protein packed snack inspiring the local food drive this month at Froth, sponsored by Feeding America, Southwest Virginia. Since 1981, the Food Bank has provided millions of pounds of food and other products to individuals in need of emergency food assistance. Join Froth Coffee to fight hunger by donating as many jars of peanut butter as we can to help those in need right here in our town.
Why peanut butter you ask? Peanut butter is a great substitute for expensive meats and is always a great way to stretch your dollar a little further in the grocery store. It provides protein and nutrients not found in other non-perishable foods. Peanut butter is also one of the most requested foods in food banks across the country and is in great demand.
Also, peanut butter is a delicious and filling snack that even kids can’t get enough of! With summer in full swing, it is important for all children to have nutritious lunch options that they often do not have access to when school is not in session.
Froth is proud to team up with Feeding America, a regional food bank that provides food to millions of hungry people in Southwest Virginia and you can help too! Just bring your jars of peanut butter in to Froth coffee any time this month located in Roanoke at 4710 A Starkey Road. Every week Froth will tally up the donations collected and donate another whole case of peanut butter (24 jars) for every 50 jars donated!
