Photos: A mother tearfully sends her son off to serve

Loren Wright shares these photos and says:

A mom sending her son off to serve. Can anyone identify them? I would love to give her these pictures. I cried myself as tears were welling up in her eyes.

Loren adds:

I saw them last year just before the Drumstick Dash downtown. We were walking the course before hand to check it out in the morning. I noticed by the bus station these two walking along & I asked if I could take their picture & thanked the boy for his service. The mom had tears rolling down her face and I had to leave because I could not keep my emotions in. I tried last year to find out who they were, no luck, so thought I would try again. :)

Thanks, Loren! If anyone can identify these folks, please leave names in the comments. We’ll do what we can to get in touch with them.
