Roanoke Valley Harley-Davidson & the Harley Owners Group (HOG) will hold their annual Poker Run fundraiser in support of the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) on Saturday, Aug. 25, 2012.
The ride will begin at the dealership on Peters Creek Road and conclude at Jackson Park. Registration begins at 8 a.m., with first bike leaving at 9 a.m. The ride will be $10 per poker hand and $5 per person for lunch. Cash prizes will be offered for best and worst hands. Festivities will include a bike show, biker games, entertainment and games for kids. Bring the whole family! All brands of bikes are welcome!
Committed to the eradication of neuromuscular diseases, Harley Davidson became a national sponsor of MDA in the 1950s. Locally, Roanoke Valley Harley -Davidson has been a supporter of MDA for many years.
Funds raised by the ride support local MDA services by providing flu shots, clinic services, support groups, research, assistance with the repair of durable medical equipment, and providing a week-long session of Summer Camp for children ages 6 to 17. All funds remain in the local area in which they were raised to help local families.
