Connor Baker named 2012-13 Knight by Cave Spring High School

Cave Spring High School named Connor Baker the 2012-2013 Knight. He was knighted by Principal Steve Spangler in a ceremony on Aug. 21.

Grady and Lori Baker were present as their son was knighted on the first day of the school year. They only knew about the honor a few days before the knight’s identity was revealed to his peers. The secret was kept until the helmet was removed.

Knights are nominated by the senior class and facility. The faculty then chooses the student who is the image of the school motto: Honor and knowledge – the greater is honor. The selected student must also be an example of the chivalric code ideals: honesty, loyalty, service, reliability, courage, citizenship, humility, consideration of others’ rights and feelings and scholarship.
