Photos from railway repairs in Southwest Roanoke County
Morning busses and cars had to find an alternate route to school this morning.
Route 904 (Starkey Road) and Route 633 (Benois Road) in Roanoke County were closed at the railroad crossings for repairs. Workers are adding new stretches of tracks. Route 904 will be closed on Tuesday, Aug. 28, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Route 633 will be closed on Wednesday, Aug. 29, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Drivers will need to seek alternate routes during the closures. These dates and times are tentative and could be adjusted depending on weather and work schedule.
