The new CSMS is ready for students after a $26.8 million construction project. Some new features: A Memory Wall showcases the history of CSMS with photos and news articles dating back to the original opening of CSMS. Geothermal Well-System, offering significant savings on utilities. Three floors for a total increase of 54,000 square feet. Each floor will house a separate grade. Parents will now drop off kids from Ranchcrest while the buses will drop off using Brambleton Ave. Expanded capacity can accommodate a student body of 900, featuring cafeteria seating for 300, exploratory technology lab, art studio, music rooms, auditorium, greenhouse and outdoor plaza.

Bigger may be better. Classes being refined and added labs, etc., helps the kids in this ultra modern society, but my past will be forever embedded in my mind of the old CSHS. It was perfect then as the new Jr Hi is now. They can destroy the building, but cannot destroy the memories of our days spent in CSHS. Class of ’63.
