Virginia Society of CPAs offers free financial fitness seminar

A free financial fitness workshop is being offered by the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants on Sept. 17. The workshop titled “What’s the Plan” will take place at the Richmond CPA Center and discus how having a plan is a key element in financial fitness. To register, call (804) 612-9424.

Richmond (Aug. 15, 2012) — The Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants (VSCPA) is pleased to offer a free Financial Fitness Workshop titled “What’s the Plan” on Monday, Sept. 17 at the Richmond CPA Center. It will be led by an experienced CPA and will provide attendees with unbiased financial advice and guidance regarding personal financial planning.Here are the details:
** Date: Monday, Sept. 17
** Time: 10:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
** Location: Richmond CPA Center
** Discussion leader:  Elsie Rose, CPA, Yount Hyde & Barbour
** Lunch: Please enjoy a complimentary lunch.
** Highlights: Studies show having a plan is critical to financial fitness. It may not be a comprehensive financial plan, but maybe a savings plan or retirement plan or some components of each. Awareness and persistence can be very effective. VSCPA member Elsie Rose, CPA, will discuss the most important strategies and planning techniques for various life stages.

Developed as part of the VSCPA’s award-winning Financial Fitness initiative, Financial Fitness Workshops are designed to address money management issues Virginians face in their personal and professional lives.
