Everyone is welcome at Windsor Hills United Methodist Church Annual Neighborhood Picnic. Mark your calendars for Saturday, September 8, from 4-8 p.m. rain or shine.
There will be lots of fun for all ages with a huge inflatable slide, pony rides (weather permitting), balloon toss, S’mores roasted in the fire pit and drawings for door prizes. You will be amazed by the magic of Brando the Great, the strolling magician. Sing along with uplifting and inspiring music and praise God with the Praise and Worship band. Music opens our hearts, lifts our spirits and soothes the soul.
Dinner will be served from 5-6 p.m. Hamburgers, hot dogs, side dishes, drinks and desserts will be provided by the church. We will close with music and prayer under the stars with Vespers. Bring lawn chairs and a flashlight.
Windsor Hills UMC will give purpose to this event with a fundraiser for “Stop Hunger Now.” SHN has a mission and vision to create a world without hunger. SHN was founded by United Methodist Minister, Rev. Ray Buchanan. “With only $2,500 we as a church family can feed 10,000 people through this amazing program.” Learn more at www.stophungernow.org.
The picnic is free and donations will be accepted to raise the $2,500 for SHN. Windsor Hills United Methodist Church is located at 3591 Windsor Road in Roanoke, on the corner of Mudlick and Windsor Roads.
For more information and to make your reservations, please call the church office 540-774-4730. Join the fun Saturday, September 8, 4-8 p.m.
