Frey named to the College of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences Ambassador Program
BLACKSBURG, Va. — Kelsey Frey, from Roanoke, Va.(24018), will join the College of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences Ambassador Program. Students are selected to join the team each spring through a competitive application process.
Frey, a senior majoring in English in the College of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences, volunteers with a faculty member for a minimum of two hours a week and volunteers for other various events hosted by the college. Ambassadors work closely with faculty, staff, parents, and alumni to expand the college’s outreach.
Ambassadors gain invaluable experience through opportunities to be leaders, networking, and interacting with members of the college. The ambassador program was formed in 1993 and has been providing over 3,000 volunteer hours to the college and the college departments each year. This past year’s ambassadors helped the College of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences secure over 500 prospective students.
