Roanoke County police arrest man in attempted purse snatching at Tanglewood Mall

An unidentified man was arrested today following reports of a dramatic Tanglewood Mall purse snatching and subsequent police chase to a construction site, authorities said.

Chase Purdy of The Roanoke Times has more on this story.

UPDATE: This story has now been updated to identify the suspect as Brandon A. Ruth, 22, of Roanoke County.
