Roanoke Valley Music Teachers Association to hold first meeting Friday, Sept. 14

The Roanoke Valley Music Teachers Association will conduct its first meeting Friday, Sept. 14 at 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Grandin Court Baptist Church on Brambleton Avenue. The local association is under the auspices of Music Teachers National Association and Virginia Music Teachers Association and is dedicated to promoting professional fraternity, standards and growth among music teachers. Former RVMTA and VMTA President, Roma Scriven will present this Friday’s program on “The Joy of Certification.” Nonmember music teachers and any interested guests are welcome to attend this first meeting free of charge and are invited to a luncheon immediately afterward.
