Updates about students, alumni of Divine Dance Center
Exciting things happening for Divine Dance Center dancers and alumni! 2012 graduate, Tony d’Alelio is touring the United States and Canada with Disney’s Beauty and the Beast as the carpet, enchanted object, and towns person. Jessi Buckley, also a 2012 graduate has just started her journey as a dance major at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York City. We are so very proud of both of you! Current students have also been making waves. The first weekend of October fifteen young dancers from Divine Dance Center attended the Wild Dance Intensive in Washington D.C. Dancers were fortunate to learn from professionals; Tokyo (world renowned choreographer), Ade Obayomi (So You Think You Can Dance), Jill Wolins (Radio City Rockettes), Mollee Gray (So You Think You Can Dance). Christina Lauria, 15 from Hidden Valley High School and Joey d’Alelio, 15 from Cave Spring High School were both awarded scholarships and title entries to upcoming competitions, Nexstar and Revolution Talent. They were selected based on their performance in workshop classes and an audition combination.
