Election report: Steady lines, no problems at Cave Spring
There was a steady line at Cave Spring High School on election day morning. 81 people stood in line at 6am, but as the sun rose steadily in the sky and people hurried off to work, the lines slowed down a bit. The voting booths were set up in the cafeteria and “so far,” said Chief Voting Officer Brian Frazier, “there are no real problems to report, but I don’t want to jinx it!”
It was voting like usual, and many people wore smiles and looked hopeful. There was a lot of excitement in the air and many people said, when asked why they were voting, that they were just proud to be able to do so, and were happy to do their civic duty.
If you hear of something happening at the polls you think we should know about — long lines, machine break-downs, etc. or if you’d just like to send us some or your pictures of election day, please send them to news@swo-co.com.
