Police make quick arrest in burglary case on Electric Road
Officers with the Roanoke County Police Department made a speedy arrest following a burglary at a local business. Police officers patrolling Route 419/Electric Road around 4:00 a.m. today discovered a broken window at the SpeeDee Oil Change located at 3820 Electric Road. The business had been burglarized and an undetermined amount of cash and other items were taken.
In the course of the burglary, a sizable amount of blood was left at the scene. The case was assigned to Detective M. Detective Hicks followed up on the leads received and subsequently made an arrest this afternoon.
29-year-old Ky Dietiker of Roanoke City has been charged with burglary and grand larceny and is currently being held in the Roanoke County/Salem jail on a $10,000 bond. Dietiker is a former employee of the SpeeDee Oil Change.
