Goodwill Tree at Tanglewood Mall On Display: Dec. 1 – Christmas
On display December 1st through Christmas
Last week, participants in Goodwill’s Medicaid Waiver programs put up a “Goodwill Tree” at Tanglewood Mall using Christmas ornaments that they made themselves. The tree can be seen in a window across from Chick-fil-A on the second floor.
Medicaid Waiver programs offer services for individuals with significant disabilities. While providing training, assistance, and specialized supervision, they focus on the acquisition, retention, and improvement of self-help, socialization, and adaptive skills. They also provide peer interaction and opportunities for community as well as social integration. The goal is to enable an individual to attain or maintain his/her maximum functional level and greatest level of independence.
