Monday, December 31: Your Last Day to Make your Goodwill Donation for Tax Purposes!

December 31 – Last day to donate to Goodwill for tax purposes

Don’t wait to Donate! Make room for the new goodies you received this Holiday season and earn a tax deduction.

Donations are accepted at the 32 Goodwill retail stores throughout the New River, Roanoke, and Shenandoah Valleys, as well as at the Attended Donation Centers conveniently located throughout the communities. For the closest retail or donation center location, visit http://www.goodwillvalleys.com/donate/donate-goods/locations.

Goodwill accepts gently used clothing, household items, electronics, books, toys, furniture, vehicles, and monetary donations. When you donate by December 31st, you will receive a donation receipt that you may use when you file your 2012 tax return (consult a tax advisor for more information.)

Remember when you donate and shop at Goodwill, you support our mission of helping people right here in our community get back to work. Donations to Goodwill fund job training and employment programs for youth, adults, and the aging with disabilities, disadvantages, and those who have lost their job due to company closing or layoff.

For more information on donating to Goodwill visit http://www.goodwillvalleys.com/donate or contact:
