Moore to hold community meeting on stormwater Jan.17
Roanoke County Board Member to Host Community Meeting Speakers to focus on the topic of stormwater
WHAT:
Roanoke County Board of Supervisors Vice Chairman Charlotte Moore will host a community meeting this week at the South County Library. The meeting, which is open to everyone, will focus on topics related to the issue of stormwater.
WHO:
Dr. Tamim Younos with the Cabell Brand Center for Global Poverty and Resource Sustainability Studies will give a presentation on the topic of stormwater runoff, resulting impacts, and various ways that runoff can be useful.
Mary Dail with the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) will speak on stormwater regulations.
The Prevention Council will address the topic of drug contamination in stormwater.
Representatives from Roanoke County’s Community Development Department will discuss stormwater related topics/issues in Roanoke County.
