Preschool Basketball Program Starts This Saturday at Green Valley Elementary School

Join us at Green Valley Elementary School on Saturdays at 4:30pm for a five week instructional basketball program for three to six year-olds. Great Beginnings is a five week instructional program targeted to three, four, five and six year old boys and girls. The program’s goal is to help prepare children for the challenges of organized basketball in a non-threatening atmosphere, without the worry of competition. Each child, along with his or her parents, work together to learn basic motor skills needed to successfully move on to more organized sports in years to come. As the program progresses and children show improvement, the skill stations are altered so that each child remains challenged. Parents spend quality time together with their child while learning how to properly teach and support them in youth sports. The program will also help develop the child’s motor and cognitive skills as well as provide wonderful social interaction.
