Roanoke residents named to Averett University honors list

Twenty-seven Roanoke area residents were named to the honors list for the 2012 fall semester at Averett University in Danville, Va. Students must have a minimum of 12 hours of graded work for the semester to be considered for honors.

Those students named to the President’s List with 4.0 grade point averages were: Amanda L. Sieger of Blue Ridge; Sara Cortney Kendrick of Cloverdale; Kiran N. Patel of Daleville; Roanoke residents Donna Davidson Pugh, Matthew Ellis Camden, Melissa Lucas Hipes, Roy Allen Lax, Randy Lynn Peggins, Jeneva Click Lucas, Sharon Johns Forbes and Eric J. Chidester; Laura Perdue Mossor of Salem; and Vinton residents Jennifer L. Staten and Thomas Jason Klein.

Students who were named to the Dean’s List with grade point averages of 3.4 or higher include: Sandra S. Matthews of Eagle Rock; Roanoke residents Brian Lewis Fuquay, Jerry Wayne Snyder, Mary-Beth Lee Read, Jennifer Church Smith, Tabytha Thomas Garner, Aleathia E. Jones, Dominique P. Simmons and Justina K. Megginson; Salem residents Paul Benjamin Hammond, Bobbie Joe Grimes, Melissa A. Gusler Haynes; and Amanda Boone Davis of Vinton.
