Strokus promoted to Navy petty officer 3rd class
Navy Petty Officer 3rd Class Mary A. Strokus, daughter of Callie S. and Phillip Strokus of Roanoke, Va., recently was promoted to her current rank while aboard the aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman, home ported in Norfolk, Va.
Strokus was promoted based on sustained superior job performance and proficiency in her designated specialty.
Strokus is a 2010 graduate of Hidden Valley High School of Roanoke, Va. and joined the Navy in December 2011.
