Annual Narcolepsy Bed Race announced for March 9

Stay in bed late on March 9, “Suddenly Sleepy Saturday”, but make sure it has wheels! Bring four of your friends and a fast bed to the 1st Annual Narcolepsy Bed Race. We will be raising money for Narcolepsy Network while having a great time racing beds around a course at the parking lot of Covenant Presbyterian Church, Roanoke, Virginia. Narcolepsy Network (www.narcolepsynetwork.org) is a non-profit organization providing services to educate, advocate, support, and improve awareness of this neurological sleep disorder. Prizes will be awarded for the fastest bed and for the best design, so let your creative spirits run wild (but tasteful!). Come out and meet author Julie Flygare and have her autograph your copy of her new memoir of narcolepsy, ‘Wide Awake and Dreaming’. So….sign up now, save March 9 on your calendar, get to work on your awesome bed, practice your team running skills, and come down for a fantastic time, all while raising money for an important cause. What else would you being doing on a Saturday morning, staying in bed? For more information, go to www.narcolepsybedrace.org.
