CSHS Freshman Recognized by the Roanoke Rescue Mission as “Children’s Ministries Volunteer of the Year”
Cave Spring High School freshman, Kyndal Grammer, 14, was recognized February 10, 2013, as the Roanoke Rescue Mission’s “Children’s Ministries Volunteer of the Year” for 2012. Kyndal began volunteering at the Rescue Mission in March, 2012. She teaches a hip-hop class every other Tuesday for the children staying at the Women/Children’s Center. Kyndal dances for Studio 45 in Vinton and is a current member of several Studio 45 Elite Teams led by teacher and choreographer Ryan Ramos. Along with volunteering at the Rescue Mission, Kyndal also volunteers as a Student Teacher at the studio.
Kyndal, along with her duet partner, Kaysi Funk, 17, junior at Staunton River High School, was recently shown on the Lifetime Show, “Dance Moms.” They received 2nd Overall for their Tap Duet, “Allouette” at Dance Troupe in Greensboro, NC in November, 2012.
