Psychological Health Roanoke Set to Move in March

A business in Southwest County is moving next month. Psychological Health Roanoke will be moving from their current location at the La Premiere office park on Electric Road to just down the street at Colonnade 1 also on Electric Road. The move will take place on March 1 and business will re-open on March 4.

The managing partner Steve Strosnider said the reasons for moving are many, but the most important is that the new building will be a better fit for them in the community. “It is a much more discreet area and that’s good for our patients,” said Strosnider and continued, “We serve about 750 clients a week… the bulk of whom are Cave Spring residents.”

We’re the largest practice of our kind in the area and second largest in the state,” continued Strosnider. The practice has twenty-six full-time clinicians, all of whom represent over fifty mental health specialties. In fact, Steve Strosnider says that the clinic is committed to growth and is always striving to add on specialists to help those in need. “We want it to be a one stop shop for any emotional problems our clients need help with,” said Strosnider. And with this new move, the practice will be able to accommodate this philosophy of growth because there will be more room available.

A well-kept secret about Psychological Health Roanoke is that they are the largest provider for public safety departments. “We have around 70 jurisdictions that we service… things like screening police officers before employment and doing evaluations for officers that may have difficulty,” said Strosnider. Another service that the clinic offers is an employee assistance program, called Advantage EAP. This service provides counseling service to businesses and industry. There are about 25,000 people covered in this program, in businesses all over the Roanoke Valley and NRV as well.

Psychological Health Roanoke may not be moving far down the road from their current location, however, it seems that the clinic’s new home will certainly help to further their goal of helping those in need.
