Whiner Daniel 'dragged' out of Project Runway

Really glad to see Mr. Impeccable Taste booted after last night's Battle of the Divas.
Between drag queens bragging how gorgeous they are (really?) and designers convinced that their ideas are AMAZING, my eyeballs were rolling so much they could have been considered an alternative energy source. If only Bravo could figure out how to bottle this surplus hubris and sell it to the rest of us humble self-doubters.
Did you notice that Daniel completely disregarded Tim Gunn's critique about not "wowing" with his boring tie-dyed-with-Sunny-D cocktail dress? Hmmmm, where have we seen that before?
At this point, the lesson is on a neon billboard: Ignore Tim and brag about how much you love your own design, and you're gone. We've seen this again and again this season.
And Keith's "sad chicken" design looked more like Cruella De Vil after going through a paper shredder. Enough with the deconstructed swatches!
Joe's pink sailor costume was OK, but I though Terri's was the most dramatic. She nailed that Asian punk rocker look.
See all of the looks here.

Debbie

Daniel's dress may have been boring, but at least it looked better than the monstrosity Keith made!

They auffed the right one this time. Daniel's dress was totally boring and drag queens are never boring, darling.

It must have been a Disney-inspired night. I agree with Stephanie that Keith's hot mess reminded me of Cruella, but I also thought Korto's outfit made her queen look like Ursula, the wicked sea witch from "The Little Mermaid."

Those "flames" looked more like tentacles to me.

And then there is Tanorexia. I loved Tim's assessment that his design looked like a pterodactyl from a gay Jurassic Park.

Ha! Gotta love the Gunn.

With a busy schedule last night, I missed it all again. I will catch up again over the weekend, but thanks for keeping me posted.

As the season heats up I might have to start making time for TV again.

So, after catching up a little, what do you think they will do this week? And did I see Laura from last season there? Hmmmmm... I'm intrigued.

Okay, I finally watched this episode on DVD last night. You must recall that I am a Project Runway newbie, so I thought this episode was loads of fun. Tan Man's outfit was horrendous. When I realized he wasn't in the bottom, I was astounded. That queen deserved something outrageously fabulous!! Instead she got a broken wing :-( Loved the pink pants suit; wish I had a butt like that queen. But my all-time favorite was the silver dress with feathers designed by the 50s girl. Daniel's dress was cool, just not for this challenge. I wish he had attacked it with pink and orange sequins. Now THAT would have been out there!
