Photos: Brownie/Daisy Troop 397 collects more than 200 breakfast items for food pantry

To celebrate the 100th anniversary of Girl Scouting, the girls in Brownie/Daisy Troop 397 proposed and carried out a service project of collecting 100 breakfast items for Fieldstone United Methodist Church’s Giving Tree Food Pantry. On Saturday, April 21, they met at Kroger on South Main in Blacksburg and requested donations from customers. Before the day was out, they had collected well over 200 items, more than twice their stated goal.
