Pulaski’s Kids Fishing Day was held Saturday at the Blue Ridge Mountains Council Boy Scout Reservation, Camp Powhatan, in Hiwassee.
A total of 560 children attended the fishing event. River of Life Church in Dublin, who catered the event free of charge, reported more than 1,000 plates of food were served.
At the end of the day, every child in attendance that did not own a fishing pole was given one.
Next year’s event is set for May 11 and will once again be held at Camp Powhatan.
Due to such a large turn out, next year children should pre-register before April 26 at www.kidsfishingday.org.
