Biofield therapy specialist Barbara Ford-Latty joins Three Pines Wellness Center
Barbara Ford-Latty joins John White, M.D., and the wellness team at Three Pines Wellness Center on June 5, 2012. Ford-Latty specializes in the biofield (energy) therapy of Healing Touch and Integrative Health Coaching, offering a holistic approach to wellness through education and energy-work, as well as group and individual coaching.
Biofield therapy is a gentle, non-invasive form of treatment that partners with traditional healthcare in healing the whole person through heart-centered care. By tapping into the body’s natural healing potential through its energetic source, this therapy connects and balances mind, body and spirit. Ford-Latty uses these methods to enhance traditional healthcare and improve the individual’s quality of health and well-being. This unique approach to wellness helps decrease symptoms such as pain, anxiety, insomnia and strengthens the immune system. Individual coaching helps define the healthcare goals, stay on track with these goals and navigate the sometimes complex maze of traditional healthcare choices and complementary therapies.
With more than 20 years of experience, Ford-Latty is a registered nurse with a master’s degree in holistic health who understands traditional healthcare and complementary medicine. The strength of this background provides a truly unified approach to wellness. Beginning at Duke University Medical Center, she has held a variety of roles in service industries, as well as in healthcare management and education, and as a keynote speaker, nurse and author. She is co-author of the new health anthology titled “Health: Mind Body Soul” now available at Three Pines Center and on amazon.com.
