NRV SkyFest AirShow scheduled for Sept. 7-9
NRV SkyFest AirShow September 7, 8 & 9, 2012 in celebration of the 50th Anniversary of New River Valley Airport will offer a weekend of family entertainment and opportunities for businesses to gain exposure to a unique demographic all weekend with a focus on inspiring our young people.
NRV SkyFest is expected to host at least 20,000 people (September 7th through 9th) at New River Valley Airport in Dublin, Virginia. The airshow will feature wing-walking, skydivers, aerobatic teams, military, warbirds, jets, fun zone, concerts, WineFest, Classic Car Cruise-In, Motorcycle Show and a business showcase all three days.
Businesses that take advantage of the air show Business Showcase opportunity will have direct access to thousands of people to engage in conversation, and promote their business. But the Sky is The Limit when it comes to inspiring future business leaders in Southwest Virginia.
Air shows expose a new world of possibilities to the youth of America. Numerous successful military and civilian aviators (as well as leaders of the business world) will tell you that their love of flying and incentive to reach for the sky was first inspired at an airshow.
NRV SkyFest AirShow will widen the imagination and introduce new horizons, proving that anyone can soar to new heights – IF they are willing to WORK HARD to achieve their dream. Not only an historical event, The 50th Anniversary celebration of NRV Airport will offer a business showcase, where our future leaders will learn about business, career opportunities and technology to encourage them to excel in school and strive to pursue a vocation they may not have known existed before their weekend at the airshow.
Whether it be the military, technology, aviation or the many diverse business careers showcased at the air show, NRV SkyFest and the world’s best aerobatic performers will enlighten and inspire anyone with a dream to reach for the sky!
The SW VA Business Showcase is a dedicated portion of the air show that allows businesses to purchase space, for an extremely reasonable fee ($300 before June 22), to interact with airshow fans and build a rapport with potential clients and customers. The efforts of local businesses will go a long way at NRV SkyFest AirShow where people are there because they really want to be.
NRV SkyFest AirShow Sponsorship opportunities are also still available through July. Sponsorships allow businesses a venue for their crazy, creative and unique ideas – Nothing is impossible. No matter what size budget a business has to work with, being an airshow sponsor can be the most exciting and memorable promotional effort a company will ever engage in because they are allowed to think outside of the aerobatic box! (AND reach a world-wide market.)
Some sponsors are having a company picnic in their private chalet during the air show; some are entertaining clients in their VIP Tent.
There are opportunities for sponsors to actually be a part of the airshow entertainment by put their logo on an airplane, participating in airshow performances or offering a ride to employees as incentives or an award.
Very few marketing opportunities offer this unique exposure in such a dynamic atmosphere.
Profits generated by the Air Show are donated to area civic and charitable organizations, so proceeds return to the communities of Southwest Virginia.
Businesses that purchase a marketing option will be showing their support for a memorable and progressive event that promotes aviation and inspires our youth. According to the Virginia Department of Aviation, the economic impact of New River Valley Airport is 5.9 million dollars per year.
