Photos: Rainbow Riders “sweet” contest
This Rainbow Riders team won first place for their creation called "Treasure Chest."
Children at Rainbow Riders teamed up for a friendly and tasty competition during the week of June 25.
They worked together in teams to plan and create their cake or cupcake themes and designs. The final products were “Rainbow Rangers,” “Dream Cake,” “Eat More Cupcakes,” “Cupcake Octopus,” and earning the highest amount of votes, “Treasure Chest.”
When their sweet sculptures were complete, they were put on display for voting. Rainbow Riders families and teachers voted with spare change for their favorite design. The money will be donated to the Interfaith Food Pantry.
