Montgomery County Emergency Assistance Program announces 2012 Board of Directors
The Montgomery County Emergency Assistance Program has announced its 2012 Board of Directors.
Officers include the Rev. Fred Hodges, president; Wayne Leininger, vice president; Marjorie Vitalie, secretary; and Jennifer Cooper, treasurer.
Members at Large include Fr. Alex Darby, Karen Eaves, Melissa Edwards, Alaina Gelbert, Pastor Les Horning, Anjanette Hodges, George Mauney, Gary McCoy, Phil Pappas, Cindy Rollison and Rhonda Roten.
The Montgomery County Emergency Assistance Program strives to help county residents maintain their households and restore their self-sufficiency. MCEAP exists to aid those families and individuals who are in immediate and temporary crisis by providing both emergency financial assistance and food distribution.
In 2011, with your help, MCEAP assisted 7,896 clients with financial assistance and 4,505 clients with food assistance. We spent more than $32,000 to provide food for our pantry, and helped clients with $87,079 for rent and $144,164.50 for utilities, including water and heating oil.
