Christiansburg police ramp up efforts through Sept. 30 to reduce unsafe driving

Posted August 15, 2012

The Christiansburg Police Department has ramped up efforts to reduce speeding and impaired driving through additional patrol. From Aug. 1 through Sept. 30, additional officers will be on the road searching for speeders, impaired drivers and those not wearing their seat belts.

The Christiansburg Police Department encourages drivers to practice safe driving and, as always, “Click It or Ticket.”

  1. Just for clarification folks…not wearing your seatbelt is a secondary offense (only applicable after being stopped fir primary offense). If a police officer pulls you over for not wearing a seat belt ONLY your rights have been violated.
