Photos: Painted Lady in Wildwood Park
Nancy Kent of Radford shares these photos and writes:
When my camera and I arrived at Wildwood Park yesterday [Aug. 22], we were greeeted by this lovely butterfly, Painted Lady (Vanessa cardui). It lingered to enjoy nectaring on the knapweed growing beside the bike path, and I lingered to get as many images as possible. What a joyful way to spend a sunny afternoon.
Thanks, Nancy!
