Dog Walk-a-Thon on Sept. 29 to benefit Leader Dogs for the Blind

The Blacksburg Host Lions Club and Virginia Tech Delta Gamma Sorority will sponsor an annual benefit Dog Walk-a-Thon to support local sight conservation projects and training of Leader Dogs for the Blind on Saturday, Sept. 29 from 9 a.m. to noon.

The walk, which can range from 1-3 miles, will be held at the parking lot of Smithfield Road and Duck Pond Drive on the Virginia Tech campus, with or without a dog partner. The event will be supported by the student chapter of American Animal Hospital Association. For more information or a dog-walk pledge sheet, please contact Dick Saacke, 230-3861 or saacke@vt.edu.
