Howls and Meows luxury pet houses to be displayed through Oct. 19 in Blacksburg
The Blacksburg Partnership announces the second-annual Howls and Meows luxury pet house raffle to be held in conjunction with Blacksburg Brew Do, an award-winning craft beer festival.
Howls and Meows returns this year as a fundraiser benefitting the Animal Welfare Foster Program. In partnership with the SAS Builders, 11 luxury dog and cat houses have been constructed and are on display at National Bank on Hubbard Street in Blacksburg until Oct. 19. The houses will also be on display during the Blacksburg Brew Do festival on Saturday, Oct. 6 at the First and Main Shopping District.
Raffle tickets will be sold during this time period for $5 for each pet house at both Blacksburg Kroger stores, National Bank-Hubbard Street, and online at www.blacksburgbrewdo.com/howls-meows. Patrons can cast their vote for their favorite house by making a monetary or pet food and supply donation to the Animal Welfare Foster Program at the festival. Raffle winners will be announced Oct. 19.
“We are truly excited to bring back this unique fundraiser benefitting the Animal Welfare Foster Program,” said Diane Akers, president of The Blacksburg Partnership. “We have enjoyed working with SAS and all the creative builders on this unique project. Patrons will enjoy viewing the houses on display, and Howls and Meows is sure to be a hit attraction at Blacksburg Brew Do.”
