Photos from Highland Ridge’s 5th-annual fall festival
Thousands of people came out to participate in the festivities at Highland Ridge last Saturday during their fifth-annual fall festival in Dublin. Highland Ridge provides this event as a way to give back to our community. The event included something for everyone, and Highland is so appreciative to all the vendors, entertainers, volunteers and community members that came out for the festival.
Many activities for the children were featured, including two Moon Bounces, pony rides, animal petting zoo, hay rides and face painting. Free cotton candy and popcorn was provided to everyone. In addition, many other children’s activities were held throughout the day.
There were many craft and food vendors on site the day of the festival. Also on display were antique cars. Many thanks to the Dublin Fire Department and Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office for all their help with the day’s events.
Live characters came out to enjoy the day including the Virginia Tech Trons and Donald Duck. Other entertainment was provided by a live PSK broadcast, as well as bluegrass and gospel bands throughout the day. Groups participating were Will Work for Food, The Cox Family, and the children’s group from The Little White Church.
The event left smiling faces everywhere, and Highland Ridge is already planning next year’s event. We invite everyone to attend, and if anyone is interested in participating as a vendor, please contact Mary Kathryn Wilmer or Danielle Hiatt at 674-4193.
Highland Ridge is located at 5872 Hanks Ave., Dublin, VA 24084.
