Attimo Winery wins 7 awards at Wines of the South competition

The Wines of the South competition was hosted by the faculty and students of the Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism program at the University of Tennessee on Oct. 5-6 at the University of Tennessee Conference Center in downtown Knoxville, Tenn. Fifty wineries and 392 wines from 14 southern states were evaluated in a blind flight tasting by professional judges in classes within six different categories: Red, White, Blush, Dessert/Fruit, Sparkling, and Tennessee fruit.

Attimo Winery was awarded the following medals: Bronze Masquerade, Silver Off the Cuff, Bronze Sonnet 98, Silver Deep Silence, Silver Bullfrog Symphony, Silver AD 325 and Silver Just Kissed.

Wines of the South medals are recognized by consumers across the southern United States. 2012 marks the 11th year for the regional wine competition. Wines of the South is the most prestigious competition for Southern wineries. This gives wineries the opportunity to showcase and market their best products.
