Susan Gaither joins River Ridge Dermatology

River Ridge Dermatology in Blacksburg has expanded its practice with the addition of Susan Gaither, nurse practitioner.
Gaither joins a staff that includes River Ridge Dermatology’s lead doctor, Chad Johnston, and four nurses. She is available for patient appointments immediately.

Gaither has more than 12 years of nursing experience and eight years of experience in dermatology. She has served as a nurse in a level-one trauma center in Tampa, Fla., and as a nurse practitioner at dermatology clinics in Bluefield, Va. and Wytheville, Va. Most recently, she practiced at New River Dermatology in Blacksburg.
Originally from the Princeton area of W.Va., Gaither received a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Bluefield State College in 2001. She earned her master’s degree in nursing from Radford University in 2004. Gaither is licensed in the state of Virginia as a family nurse practitioner (FNP) and a registered professional nurse (RN).
River Ridge Dermatology was founded in 2011 as an independent practice specializing in medical and surgical dermatology. Chad Johnston is board certified by the American Board of Dermatology and a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. River Ridge Dermatology is located in Blacksburg at 3708 S.
