Karen Cox, a sales associate with Long & Foster Realtors of the New River Valley, has earned her associate broker license issued by the Commonwealth of Virginia Real Estate Board.

A Realtor since 2005, Cox has been affiliated with Long & Foster’s New River Valley office and works hard to be among the office’s top producers. She received the New River Valley Association of Realtors Good Neighbor Award in 2011 for her community service involvement. She is affiliated with the National Association of Realtors , the Virginia Association of Realtors, and the local New River Valley Association of Realtors. Cox also holds the professional designations of Accredited Buyers Representative, Certified Residential Specialist, and the Senior Housing Specialist Designation.

She attended Radford University and received her undergraduate degree in organizational management and then attended Mosley Dickinson Academy of Real Estate to obtain her real estate and broker’s license. Cox serves as an instructor for new agents through New River Valley Association of  Realtors.

“After actively practicing real estate for almost eight years I felt a desire to further my education and the ability to advance in my field,” Cox said. “Obtaining my broker’s license enhances my qualifications as a Realtor and provides opportunities such as property management, more teaching capabilities, and the skills to provide a higher level of service to my clients.”
