Knights of Columbus to host Mardi Gras Ball on Saturday, Feb. 9
On Saturday, Feb. 9 at 8 p.m., the Blacksburg/Christiansburg Knights of Columbus will again host a Mardi Gras Ball for charity at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Blacksburg.
Crowd-favorite 3 Minute Lovin’ will provide uptempo dance music. Lorri Bayne, Summer Musical Enterprise songstress, accompanied on the keyboard by Joe Ball, will sing Broadway songs. The AdhocTet from the Blacksburg Master Chorale will present funny acapella ballads.
Tickets cost $30, which includes Mardi Gras favors, beer and wine from Vintage Cellar, and pasta from Zeppolis. The event is open to the public. Neither formal dress nor a costume is required. All profits go to Knight’s charities, for example, aid to battered women, Haiti relief, scholarships to St. John Neumann Academy, and St. Mary’s and Holy Spirit catholic churches.
