Good Sam to offer family support training in February for volunteers
Good Samaritan Hospice will conduct classes for family support training in the New River Valley in February.
This training will prepare dedicated individuals who selflessly want to volunteer time to spend with hospice patients and their families. No experience is required; all training to help provide a compassionate hand will be provided during the course. Our committed volunteers bring loving companionship to our homebound and facility patients two to four hours a week.
The New River Valley training begins Feb. 4 and ends Feb. 27, and will meet on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:15 to 7:30 p.m. at Good Sam’s NRV office at 1160 Moose Drive in Christiansburg.
For more information or to secure a spot, contact volunteer coordinator Deborah Lovelace at 381-3171 or dlovelace@goodsamhospice.org.
