Good Samaritan Hospice offering grief support programs
Good Samaritan Hospice is holding the following grief support programs at their office in the New River Valley.
KNITTY GRITTY GRIEF:
This grief support group combines knitting and crocheting and grief support. It allows each member to share their loss in a safe and compassionate environment while providing support through therapeutic interaction. After completing a project, each member may keep their knitting or donate it to a hospice patient. This group will be meeting on the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month at 2 p.m.
PUZZLE PIECES:
Open monthly meeting for bereaved adults interested in understanding grief better and being able to talk with others dealing with loss. Puzzle Pieces is facilitated by hospice staff, which help group members identify where they are in their own grief journey and gain new insights or coping tools. This group meets the second Tuesday of each month at 5:30 p.m.
To reserve a spot in either group please contact Tamie Hall, Bereavement Coordinator, at (540) 381-3171 or thall@goodsamhospice.org.
