Jacksonville Center offers February promotion discount for art classes
The Jacksonville Center for the Arts has a special offer for 2013 classes. Students who register and pay in full for more than one class at the same time before March 1 will receive an additional 10 percent off tuition. Please contact The Jax to take advantage of this special offer. February classes are already filling up so make sure to sign up soon.
On Feb. 14, from 1 to 4 p.m., Jayn Avery will lead a class titled “Hand Building with Our Partners: A
Valentine’s Day Clay Class.” The cost is $41 ($34 for Jax members).
On Feb. 20, from 6:30 to 8 p.m., Kim Washburn will present “Passion for Life Drawing Series.” The cost is $30 ($25 for Jax members).
On Feb. 22-24, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Nell Frederickson will lead the class “Molten Metal Jewelry.” The cost is $229 ($186 for members).
The Jax is located at 220 Parkway Lane S. in Floyd, a half mile south of the stoplight on Virginia 8. Winter business hours are Monday to Friday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Saturday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.; and closed Sunday. Winter hours continue through March. For more information,
