Tim Thornhill shares this photo gallery from the frozen Cascade Falls in Giles County and the following account:

Four years was too long to wait between winter visits to Cascade Falls near Pembroke. A recent visit was as amazing as the first, maybe more so with the sun out this time. Paired with a refreshing swim in the warm months or spectacular when frozen in winter, this hike never gets old. Little Stony Creek is always as powerful as it is beautiful. Wait for a cold spell to assure the falls freeze but warm enough to enjoy rather than endure the hike. Our visit found the falls mostly frozen yet still roaring from the volume of water getting through.

Thanks, Tim!
