Rock the Blocks! Blacksburg Music & Arts Festival scheduled this week

Posted March 22, 2012

Alliens is just one of many acts scheduled for this weekend's arts and music festival in Blacksburg.

Alliens, Another Roadside Attraction, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, Boogieburg, Grime Syndicate, URTH and Funk Punch are among the local, regional and national acts playing this weekend’s Rock the Blocks! Blacksburg Music & Arts Festival.

A collection of Blacksburg-based businesses and scene supporters are sponsoring the event, scheduled for Friday and Saturday at seven downtown venues. The goal, according to organizers, is to “keep the scene going in Blacksburg by bringing local artists from underground onto the stage and making it an established music and arts destination.”
